Second Line Support Engineer

You will…

be part of the Engineering team.

The objective of the role is…

to be responsible for commissioning, maintenance and servicing of the modules, cassettes and ancillary equipment including the trolley and storage systems.

Your responsibilities are…

  • supporting of placement and commissioning of the Asperitas AIC24 systems with partners worldwide;
  • supporting of providing maintenance and service for all Asperitas products to partners worldwide;
  • training partners / customers / Asperitas staff;
  • doing site surveys to prepare for delivery and placement of multiple AIC24 systems;
  • managing local engineers / employees / partners;
  • consulting with customers and partners;
  • helping partners with troubleshooting;
  • performing mechanical and electro-technical jobs on Asperitas products;
  • involvement and execution of technical jobs related to product development and prototyping;
  • supporting and enabling the continuous improvement of all Asperitas products and services.

Your key skills are…

  • to know your way around datacentres and understand how they operate (Pre);
  • experienced with the commissioning of systems;
  • a willingness to travel regularly abroad if necessary;
  • to have proficient communication skills in English language, Dutch is pre;
  • able to collaborate well in a self-managed team;
  • to have knowledge of mechanical-(Pre), water-(Pre) and electrical engineering;
  • to have completed a technical education at college level; MBO+/ HBO;
  • to be in possession of a valid driver’s license.

    Supply Chain Manager

    You will…

    Asperitas is a Dutch clean and high-tech scale-up with an HQ in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The company has developed and marketed Immersed Computing®, a technology based on immersion liquid cooling to enable datacentres to function in a sustainable manner, even for the most demanding users and environments. In 2018, Asperitas won the international New Energy Challenge competition organised by Shell, Rockstart and YES!Delft. In May 2020, the World Economic Forum published a paper on Transformational Energy Innovations of the last 10 years, selecting Asperitas technology as the only datacentre energy efficiency solution in their ground-breaking paper. Asperitas outsources all manufacturing and assembly of its products.

    Asperitas currently has a team of 19 people, primarily in engineering and sales.

    The objective of the role is…

    Asperitas is about to go through a significant scale-up phase, consisting of large-scale deployments for customers and the development and manufacturing of next generation products. To support this, the organisation, supply chain, delivery, service, maintenance, customer support and our manufacturing partners have to be scaled-up/prepared for large volumes and an increasing installed base. The Supply Chain Manager will lead this scale up and professionalisation by outsourcing to partners, building the appropriate teams, and setting up (dual) sourcing strategies and processes for collaboration and quality assurance.  The Supply Chain Manager manages various teams depending on the acceleration of the scale-up and reports to the CEO. This is a hands-on role, in which people management and outsourcing/partner management is key!

    Your responsibilities are…

    • Provide leadership and develop and implement an operations/supply chain scale-up program that aligns with next generation product development and large scale deployments.
    • Set-up the appropriate teams, partnerships and operational processes to support large scale volumes and deployments, based on project sales (produce to order).
    • Manage and professionalise the team from order intake to procurement, manufacturing, logistics, commissioning and customer support.
    • Set-up supply chain forecasting and scheduling processes.
    • Lead engagements with supply chain partners and ensure proper contracting, quality assurance and forecasting is in place, find new partners where needed, ensure dual sourcing where appropriate.
    • Ensure on time delivery and high-quality production
    • Lead continuous improvement projects and programmes to steer towards a lean and efficient team and process.
    • Maintain strong communications with team colleagues, production teams, engineering, and other stakeholders.

     

    Your key skills are…

    • Fluent in Dutch and English and living close to Amsterdam
    • Msc in a relevant area, preferably business administration/law, procurement, supply chain and or manufacturing operations
    • A minimum of 10 years experience with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations.
    • Demonstrated success in leading scale-up projects within the Operations manufacturing
    • Proven track record in applying quality assurance, change management skills and LEAN principles.
    • Hands-on!
    • You are a team player and take ownership over set objectives.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent risk assessment skills.
    • A willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others.
    • Determination to achieve end result and show optimism and enthusiasm when things don’t go to plan.

    Junior Second Line Support Engineer

    Your responsibilities are…

    • Facilitating the placement and the support the commissioning process of the Asperitas AIC24 systems with partners and/or customers spread worldwide;
    • Supporting our partners maintenance and service for all Asperitas products to partners worldwide;
    • Doing site surveys to prepare for delivery and placement of multiple AIC24 systems;
    • Consulting with customers and partners;
    • Helping partners with troubleshooting;
    • Performing mechanical and electro-technical jobs on Asperitas products.

    Your key skills are…

    • having problem solving mentality;
    • a willingness to travel regularly abroad if necessary;
    • having proficient communication skills in English language, Dutch is pre;

    IT Engineer

    You will…

    be part of the Engineering team.

    The objective of the role is…

    to be responsible for developing solutions for IT layout, working together with design engineers to optimize space claim, interface and cooling requirements. Also to develop and deploy load simulators software, build IT configurations for CPU, GPU and communications hardware and evaluate the performance of the cassettes.

    Your responsibilities are…

    • assembly of IT hardware;
    • installation of our operating systems;
    • configuration of IT Equipment for testing;
    • configuration of load simulators for use-cases;
    • testing of IT Performance for CPU and GPU systems, storage and communication systems;
    • performing risk assessment and test plans;
    • delivering testing report and product documentation;
    • developing test environments and test cases for all software systems;
    • contributing to system design and innovation initiatives;
    • working with design engineers with space claim and placement;
    • contributing to performance improvement;
    • monitoring all testing activities to ensure safety procedures are followed;
    • running quality control on components and final products;
    • taking part in specialist and multidisciplinary team meetings.
    • arranging meetings and liaise with engineers and other departments.
    • occasionally travelling to clients’ production facilities to commission and maintain systems.
    • making presentations to management and clients.

     

    Your key skills are…

    • data logging and processing for IT hardware (IPMI, I2C etc.), databases
    • Bsc/Msc in electronics engineering;
    • extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems;
    • familiarity with Microsoft Server and Unix/Linux OS systems, Enterprise, programming and scripting languages;
    • knowledge of LAN (Desirable: datacentre infrastructure management (DCIM)
    • Data logging and processing for IT hardware (IPMI, I2C etc.), databases, instrumentation and data acquisition;
    • data processing and performance metric calculation;
    • ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues;
    • ability to work with incomplete information;
    • knowledge of database and networking security systems;
    • data science methods and process automation;
    • analyze test results, detect issues and perform root-cause analyses;
    • software skills: Excel, python (desirable: Pandas, Matplotlib, Numpy)
    • support partner testing programs and build testing instructions;
    • communication and customer service skills;
    • write reports and product certification documentation;
    • ability to cope with the pressure of deadlines;
    • a willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others;
    • determination to achieve an end result and show optimism and enthusiasm when things don’t go to plan;

    Test Engineer

    You will…

    be part of the Engineering team.

    Objective of the role is…

    to evaluate the performance of the modules, cassettes and ancillary equipment including the trolley and storage systems. The test engineer works closely with our Field and Mechanical Design Engineer and reports to Chief Technical Officer.

    Your responsibilities are…

    • perform risk assessments and test plans;
    • deliver testing reports and product documentation;
    • develop test environments and perform tests for all mechanical and electrical systems;
    • ensure the quality of data and estimate margins of error;
    • contribute to performance improvement and innovation initiatives;
    • monitor all testing activities to ensure safety procedures are followed;
    • take part in specialist and multidisciplinary team meetings;
    • arrange meetings and liaise with engineers and other departments;
    • occasionally travel to clients’ production facilities to evaluate the feasibility of production;
    • make presentations to management and clients.

    Your key skills/competencies are…

    • in-depth knowledge of data processing and metric calculation performance;
    • proven experience with error estimations and process refinements;
    • familiarity with data science methods and process automation;
    • in-depth knowledge of industrial processes, techniques and standards;
    • proven track record in testing, instrumentation and data acquisition;
    • excellent software skills in Excel and Python. Preferably in Pandas, Matplotlib, Numpy;
    • familiarity with IT equipment and datacentres;
    • able to write reports and product certification documentation;
    • experienced in analysing test results and performing root- cause analyses;
    • able to support partner testing programs and build testing instructions;
    • a willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others;
    • determination to achieve an end result and show optimism and enthusiasm when things don’t go to plan

    You will…

    be part of the Commercial team.

    The objective of the role is…

    the development of a product plan in line with our corporate strategy, maximizing revenue, profit and customer satisfaction. In addition, delivering new products on time and budget while protecting high product quality levels.

    Your responsibilities are…

    • input to the product strategy and product roadmap;
    • delivering MRD’s and PRD’s with prioritised features and corresponding justification;
    • developing the core positioning and messaging for the product;
    • setting pricing strategy to meet revenue and profit goals;
    • delivering monthly revenue forecasts;
    • developing sales tools and train sales team accordingly;
    • performing product demos to customers;
    • making presentations to management and clients.

    Your key skills are…

    • a minimum of 5 years experience as Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager;
    • demonstrated success in defining and launching technical products;
    • proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
    • strong knowledge of IT Equipment and Datacentres.
    • excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • acting as a leader in our Sales and Marketing team;
