Tactical technical buyer

Asperitas is looking for a talented tactical technical buyer responsible for purchasing products, materials, services and manage outsourced activities together with taking the lead in identifying and implementing improved procurement tools and processes to support the scale up of the business.

The objective of the role is…

The ideal candidate is a driven thought leader with proven negotiation experience, analytical thinking, and contract management skills and is able to execute these skills on both a tactical and operational level. Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and organizational skills are a must.

Your responsibilities are…

  • Purchasing goods and services at optimal conditions in terms of price, quality and delivery terms while managing delivery reliability.
  • Negotiating and contracting with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Establishing the appropriate Service Level Agreements, and the key performance indicators to assure that the needs of the business are met.
  • Taking the lead in identifying and implementing improved procurement tools, processes and systems making procurement at Asperitas efficient and effective.
  • Implementation of supplier relationship management, conducting regular supplier assessments and managing complaint handling / claims to ensure success of all Partnerships established.
  • Leading the contract manufacturer / system integrator selection, contracting and contract management.
  • Management of all contract costs to keep within set budgets and seek ways to further improve the cost performance.

Your key skills are…

  • MBO + or HBO work and think level.
  • Having completed a certification in Procurement like NEVI is considered a plus.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Procurement and / or Supply Chain, preferably technical.
  • Experience in setting budgets and cost management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Proven negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge about high technology product manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing procurement tools, systems and process improvements including but not limited to requisition to pay, supplier management, contract management and contracting.
  • A willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, commercial mindset, team player, result driven, structured, committed and agile.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The objective of the role is…

The senior mechanical design engineer is responsible for the design of various products in the Asperitas product portfolio, like our advanced immersion cooling systems and service systems. The senior mechanical design engineer works closely with our R&D team and our Field and Test Engineers to ensure the performance of our products together with procurement and external production partners to achieve low cost, high quality.

Your responsibilities are…

  • Design of products, components and assemblies.
  • Develop requirements specification and product documentation, like manuals and safety sheets.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Lead performance improvement and innovation initiatives.
  • Implement change requests.
  • Manage the PDM system
  • Take part in specialist and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Arrange meetings and liaise with engineers and other departments.
  • Occasionally travel to clients’ production facilities to evaluate the feasibility of production
  • Make presentations to senior design management or clients, either when bidding for a contract or to present design proposals.

Your key skills are…

  • Minimum bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and 6 years experience
  • In- depth knowledge 3D modelling of sheet metal, solid parts, assemblies as well as BOM generation.
  • Proven experience with writing, building and testing assembly instructions.
  • Familiarity with thermofluids including thermal design, heat transfer and flow.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial processes, techniques and standards.
  • Experienced in Solidworks and PDM.
  • Familiarity with IT Equipment and Datacentres.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills.
  • Experienced in product design and rapid prototyping.
  • A willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others.
  • Determination to achieve an end result and show optimism and enthusiasm when things don’t go to plan.
